Forget the cone of shame! We have a Weimaraner puppy and she did great with this collar. Didn't pop it and she looked more comfortable than she would with the cone. Would definitely recommend this.
My 1 and a half yr old Rottweiler is a destructive puppy. This collar has made it through the week and is still holding strong. He has attempted to reach for it once or twice and cannot get a grip. It is soft and much more practical than a standard E collar.
I'm very pleased so far with this inflatable collar! My dog suffers from neurotic chewing as well as skin allergies and this has been so so helpful for us and him. It's just large enough where he can't reach around it be not super large like a cone so he's not knocking e everything down. It fits comfortably and it's easy to set up. The Velcro strap is super nice as well, I love that I don't have to fiddle with buttons. It will definitely be well used. I highly recommend this product
Usually I do not buy these "doughnuts" because they don't work for anything from practically the neck down. My dog recently had a dental with multiple teeth removed. I wanted to make sure he was comfortable while sleeping, so I figured this should work. It absolutely did! I would highly recommend this for only anything near the face. Every dog is different though, so if you have a dog with longer legs, it may not work. My dog is evenly proportioned so he has a more "square" body shape. It worked perfect for him and he absolutely looked happier wearing this than his plastic cone.
The collar is made of strong durable vinyl ! Covered by soft velour that is removable for washing. No huffing and puffing to blow it up. It Comes with its own pump. I l So much better than those flimzy neck cones ! I have a 6 lb pup and the size small was a great fit! I ordered the collar for her spay surgery , Surgery went well and the Collar is doing its job by keeping her from licking or chewing at her incision . Def a 5 star product.
Very Good quality-very soft and comes with a hand pump to inflate the collar. Stays on securely when attached to normal collar through the 3 attachment loops. Very easy to wash— just unzip the cover and remove the inside air pouch.
My little 8-month-old Westie, Oliver, had several procedures this week, some requiring sutures. The vet provided a monstrous clear plastic cone that tied at the neck. This was good, since he had a little bit of visibility with it, so didn’t walk into too many walls. It was far, far too deep for him to eat or drink or smell the grass from. He could barely lift it off the ground when trying to walk. Still, Oliver is a pretty tolerant little dude, and he seemed ok with the cone-of-shame, as long as I was with him. But the first time I stepped out of the room, he decided to try to pry it off. When I returned 30 minutes later, he had chewed through part of the plastic and had the neck opening wedged tightly across his little jaw, cutting into his mouth. Yikes.
So, I ordered a few different options for Oliver, as I couldn’t understand how the various divergent sizing options for cones, collars and donuts correlated to my dog’s neck and nose. Two of the options (with similar sizing descriptions) didn’t work — one was even bigger than the plastic cone provided by my vet. The other was so tiny, it was almost cutely funny. Another donut collar wouldn’t inflate, no matter what I did. I think the plastic inside was sort of fused together. One other cone worked ok, and I’m keeping it as a back up. But it squished my guy’s little face (the “soft cone” turns into a sort of taco shape once strapped on) and was just all around awkward for him to wear.
This donut collar worked perfectly, right out of the box. I like the way I can easily add Oliver’s own collar to the inside of the donut, for comfortable, secure sizing. It inflated easily. I so appreciated the little air pump! It stays inflated. The cover washes up easily. My guy goes to sleep right away with this donut on, is able to eat, drink, fetch a ball and hold/chew on a puppy treat — none of which could he do with the cone. He couldn’t reach the stitches on his, um, tummy (he was neutered) at all. But he was clever enough to “almost” get to the stitches on his ankle (had a dew claw removed). So, I’ve made sure to keep him under surveillance, just in case. (He never did get his ankle up above the donut, but he sure did try.)
Of all the devices I tried out for Oliver, this one was by far the best made, most comfy, most effective deterrent and closest to the size I expected. Very recommended.

Our dog is home recovering from TPLO surgery. I purchased this collar to use instead of the plastic E-collar or cone that is often used by vets. The small plastic pump works great to inflate the collar out of the box and it has remained inflated for the first 24 hours. Its very soft and comfortable and has prevented our pet from licking his bandages. Also, It's very easy to thread a regular collar through the inside and then just clasp it as you normally would. It was well worth the cost!
